Picture 1Mission

The mission of NCBC is to promote the development of a robust bioeconomy in the North Central region. We believe that biofuels and other bioproducts will play an important role in establishing our nation’s energy independence and significantly reducing our use of fossil fuels to halt their negative impact on the climate. We also believe that with enhanced technology and local ownership, we can ensure the economic vitality and ecological sustainability of this budding industry. Corn ethanol and soy biodiesel have already begun the process of economic revitalization throughout the North Central region. By diversifying sugar and starch feedstocks, improving the efficiency of conversion technology, and bringing cellulosic bioenergy into commercial production, we will ensure this industry’s long term success.
